Inspiration: I had a show scheduled for the fall at the Hudson Center for the Arts and I had in mind to make a piece that filled the large wall in the space I would exhibit in. In August I visited the gallery and realized the piece I was working on right then would look great there but the piece was too small. So I decided to make more flying animals to go with the piece. All together I made about 15 flying animals including a platypus, bison, moose and rabbit. Hanging this piece was a huge part of creating it. Shown here is just the three attached animals. I'm not sure when I will have another chance at a big wall to hang them all again but if someone is interested in filling a wall with my work this piece is available and can be configured many different ways.
