Goddess of the Four Elements

Created Summer of 2010

I started this piece while I was doing demos at the State Fair for the "Art of the Doll" exhibit.  I wasn't sure what kind of Goddess she would be but I had the idea that she would fly in sort of a arch.  While doing this demo I was limited to the materials I brought but this was good because I was able to hone in on my idea better this way.  I also got some help from the viewers who pointed out how pretty one of my scraps was that I had used to "clean" up the glitter- this part became part of the wings.  Eventually I started to think about how I could make each of the 4 elements be part of her- Wings for Air, Fish for Water, Trees for Earth and Flames for Fire.
