Inspiration- I was thinking back to my love of marionettes as a child so since I was into making puppet show creations and there was a Polymer Clay Guild show coming up with Mirrors as one of its themes I made this fanciful piece. It was shown at the Banfil Locke Center for the Arts in our show called "Reflections on Purse-onal Time". About 20 members presented purses, clocks, mirrors and other works all done in various polymer clay techniques. To see where we will be showing and demonstrating next check out our website at www.pcgmn.org

Technique- I attached a CD to a square framed mirror by drilling holes in both objects and wiring it together. I then decorated the CD with random shapes (mostly left over from a recent class I had taught). The frog and curtain are scrap clay covered with fine glitter. I made the marionette in pieces and wired her together once she was baked, so she is still moveable.
