Bead and Button Class

$40 supplies included

We start this class by adding curly hair to some funny little ladies and then turning those into beads and then we'll roll clay around in glitter and mica powder and more! It sounds crazy but you will learn how to roll colors of clay together to create amazing beads that can be baked in your own oven. Delight in the magical technique of millefiore which will make multiple beads that can be shaped into beads or buttons depending on how you slice it, dice it and poke it! No fancy equipment here- just your bare hands and a cutting tool and a toothpick and you will come away with a pile of beads and buttons to use in all kinds of creative projects.

This series of classes is designed so kids AND/OR Adults can have lots of fun! Kids and adults can take this class on their own or they can take it together- Parents and kids, grandma and grandkids, aunts and neices... you name it!
Ages 8 and up. (Each participant signs up separately- $40 per participant)

Kid’s Polymer Clay Class

Ages 8 to 98 will learn magical techniques with colorful oven baked clay. Roll, flatten, wrap and then slice to reveal amazing designs like stars, flowers and swirls. Then take your slices and cover anything you choose from the collection of objects including- frames, jars, boxes, utensils and pins. Or make a creature like a frog or owl! You'll be amazed what you can do!

Sun Sculpture Class

Create a 5 to 7 inch sun with lots of glitter and polymer clay! Learn Layl's special sculptural stuffing technique and glitter techniques. Plus create your own millefiore kaleidoscope design to use on some of the rays of your sun. You will also use some of Layl's scrap pile for details like the eyes and mouth. This finished piece can be hung on the wall to bring you some sunshine year around. Choose a date:

Basic Millefiore Class

$60, supplies included

You will learn several simple techniques like the jellyroll, checkerboard, stripes, and bulls eye. We will incorporate these techniques into more detailed designs to make flowers, stars, butterflies and more! I will supply the clay, pre-conditioned and pre-mixed, so we can learn a lot in one night. You will also learn some color mixing techniques and secrets. At the end of the class you’ll have beautiful canes to make into beads, buttons, magnets, or use to cover objects.

No previous polymer clay experience needed.

Little Clayer’s Class

$45 for Child and Adult to participate together (each additional participant is $25). Supplies Included

This class is designed for the younger creator ages 3 to 7. An Aunt can bring her neice, a dad can bring his son, Grandma can bring her Granddaughter- any combo of young child with their favorite creative adult. Work together to create one piece or on your own to each make a unique clay creation. We will start by learning some simple clay rolling and layering to make magical designs. Then choose something fun from the shelves of "Stuff to Cover"- special boxes, frames, jars, all kinds of things and we will add our clay to create a wonderful unique creation that will serve as a reminder of your fun day together!

Clay Name Plate Class

$40 supplies included

Create a clay plaque with your name on it or a special word (like Love, Hope, Family or a sports team). Learn how to transfer words from a printer right onto the clay. We will bake the words in and learn some cool millefiore techniques which will be sliced and added to the boarder of the piece once it comes out of the oven. We will also add a beaded wire to hang it from. Later you will bake the clay again at home.

When you sign up be sure to write the word you want to make in the space provided and we will have some print outs ready to go.

Fairy Making Class

Fairies are all the craze so lets make one with clay! It will be about 4 inches high and hang on a wire. There were so many details like wings and a wand! Creativity will run wild!

Mosaic Tile Making with Polymer Clay

Make your own tiles for a mosaic project with several different techniques including Millefiore and faux effects like silver, pearl and jade. Come away with 50 or more mosaic pieces which you can use in any mosaic that you make. Plus you will have the skills to make more mosaics on your own that can be hardened in your own oven (No kiln needed!)

In this class we will NOT be putting our pieces together to make a finished piece but rather just making a collection of tiles that you can use mixed in with other tiles on your own later.
