The Clements family choose a simple but dyanmic design we call the step up tile pattern. This kitchen backsplash project is one of four projects they did with Clay Squared tiles. This is a great example of using two colors in two sizes to create a dynamic effect. A project this size using only two colors and two sizes and no decos cost around $200 to $300. Handmade tile is one of the most affordable kitchen projects you will ever do.
The Braun mosaic is a collaboration of three artists. Clay Squared made the mosaic tiles. They also selected SoMi Tileworks for some accent vegetable tiles. The Brauns, artists themselves, designed and did the tile setting for this awesome retro backsplash.
They came to the shop and picked out most of their tiles from the mosaic bin and special ordered the triangles.
This Cosmic tile mural backsplash is one of three projects Clay Squared did for their house. The couple had seen the Cosmic Cloud work Josh had done at Gallery 360 and wanted to incorporate a design into their kitchen. They drew a sketch of what they were thinking, picked out colors and Josh glazed and numbered all the tiles for the installation. Josh can help you design a great one of a kind Cosmic backsplash. Mr. Blees, an architect by trade, grew up in the home and purchased the house from his family over 20 years ago. He and his wife have added on and updated the home with contemporary handmade tiles and cabinetry made by Mr. Blees himself. They chose the Neptune Pools design but asked for a little artistic license on Josh's part to make the piece have some directional feel to it. Made with 4" x 4" tiles the whole piece becomes a great abstract piece of tile artwork behind the stove. Click here to see all of the Cosmic Cloud color choices.
Cosmic Vine Tile Mural Kitchen project. Inspired by Japanese paintings Josh creates the essence of trees and branches to make tile murals for kitchen backsplashes. Each Cosmic Vine backsplash has extra touches of design to fit each kitchen. Notice the extra branch coming down from the top right hand side helping balance the design. Contact Josh to discuss how he can make you a custom Cosmic tile mural for your home.
