Clay Squared to Infinity will present nineteen tile artists from the Artisan Tile Northwest organization of the Pacific Northwest. This show will be the first ever tile show focusing on tiles of the Washington and Oregon in Minnesota. Highlights will include comparisons of arts and crafts tile styles, flora and fauna, color choices and cultural phenomna of the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest styles.

Gallery Show runs: July 1st through September 30th

Opening reception with the artists: Thursday September 17th 2009

This show will run in conjunction with the National Tile Conference Handmade Tile and Mosaics on September 17- 20th. Many of the artists will be in Minneapolis for the confernce and will be attending the opening to answer questions and enjoy the Minnesota tile scene.

Mission of Clay Squared to Infinity

Clay Squared to Infinity is a fully functional ceramic studio, a handmade tile and polymer clay showroom, and a gallery dedicated to advancing the public's knowledge of the ceramic arts, and located under the roof of the Keg House Arts Building in Historic Northeast Minneapolis' Arts District. The majority of the handmade tile sold through Clay Squared's showroom is made on site by the talented artist-staff at Clay Squared to Infinity. They spend every day of the week custom creating, glazing and firing tile and are on hand to assist you with envisioning your idea all the way through to a fully realized project.

From impressed earthenware tile to terra cotta art tile; from field tile for use in kitchen backsplashes, bathrooms and fireplace surrounds, to home accessories like ceramic switch plates, outlet covers and hand-molded house numbers, Clay Squared to Infinity has the selection to inspire any home remodeling project. Our showroom features tile by 15+ local and national handmade tile artisans, and classes are offered at Clay Squared to Infinity in polymer clay creations and mosaic techniques.

Clay Squared to Infinity's exhibition space, The Infinity Gallery, is dedicated primarily to showcasing ceramic arts. Rotating and seasonal shows highlight beautiful ceramic works of art throughout the year.
