Showcase
This fireplace is in the brand new showroom for Castle Building & Remodeling, Inc at 2600 Johnson St NE. Designed by Katie Jaydan ASID Interior Designer. She chose 2" x 4" Avocado Field Tile to make the fireplace the center piece of this beautiful room.
Henke Project
A beautiful mixture of three shades of green 4" x 4" tiles, turned on point, can make a dramatic presence to any fireplace. Using the variation of the three colors, the clients arranged the tiles to draw the viewers eye through- out the piece.
Medieval Bungalow
One of Clay Squared's first Fireplaces. Special size bricks were designed to fit the space and custom colored medieval's are the accents.
Thene Fireplace
This fireplace was is one of three projects Clay Squared did for the the Thene's. When remodeling their bungalow house the couple wanted to keep with the period of the home. Using Avocado Green which matches much of the matte greens used in the early 1900's and Clay Squared leaf tiles as accents really made this fireplace come alive.
McDill Fireplace #1
Commissioned by McDill's family this is one of three projects done for their newly constructed house. This fireplace is a great example of simple field tile turned on point and great color choices to make a fireplace stand out. A project like this is under $200!
Jaksha Fireplace
This one of a kind fireplace was a collaboration between Josh Blanc and Sheryl Tuorila. Sheryl made her signature Zen mosaics that weave through the fireplace. Josh made the Ginger Snaps field tile that were cut while the clay was wet to fit around Sheryl's puzzle mosaics. Talented tile setter Brad King a recent transplant from San Francisco set the tiles.
McDill Fireplace #2
Commissioned by McDill's family this is one of three projects done for their newly constructed house. This was a very custom fireplace. The McDill's are avid outdoors people that love nature and their environment in Colorado. Josh explored the landscape and picked local shrubs, flowers, and grasses. Josh took them back to the studio and rolled the vegetation into the clay and glazed them with a natural see through glaze so they could see the texture of each of the plants. Josh made the tiles to fit each plant's form and he set them into the wall to bring out their individual character. |
