Josh has done a number of designs based off the work of Karl Blossfeldt, this one influenced by barley photographed by Blossfeldt. This work has many variations of iridescent silver and carmel colors. The silver metallic gives it a very graphic look. |

Gallery 360 Facade

This exterior facade was commissioned in 1999. The 12" x 12 tiles have two themes; fire and space on the left side, and earthy blues and greens on the right. Our terra cotta body is exterior grade and will last about 100 years. Stop in and visit it any time and see a great local gallery too. |

Josh Blanc's Artist Statement
The Cosmic Collection™ is a satellite of Clay Squared to Infinity. Josh Blanc is an artist and the creator of The Cosmic Collection.
Josh believes that art’s main purpose is about discovery and conversation. The Cosmic Collection is intended to be a visual exploration between Josh and the viewer. His goal in making the tiles
is to create non- narrative images and invite the viewer to contemplate their own
impressions of the work which sparks conversations about what they see in the forms. This is similar to being spellbound by staring into the campfire flames, finding images in the clouds, sitting by a stream watching and listening to the water rush by or staring into the stars on a cold winter night and exploring the universe. All of these experiences are not life altering per se, or have specific meaning, but for many of us they provide moments of inspiration, personal revelation, and connection to one’s own beliefs or ideas.
The Cosmic Collection is a distinctive series and not a mass produced tile product. Each tile is a hand rolled out and hand glazed one-of-a-kind art piece that will make your collection personal.
They give ambiance and style to your home, office or restaurant space that will be enjoyed for many years to come.
