Inspiration: I have had a lot of fun making women flying away on birds but this piece was the really over the top bird flyer! I went all out in detail and had a great time imagining all the things she would want to escape- cell phone, lists, clock, feather duster (cleaning), etc.
Technique: Probably my favorite part of this piece is the design on her cape. I have been making this "Random checker" for the last few years but had never made one with black as the dominant color. I really liked the way it came out and stood against the red of her dress.
