Angel of Fabric

Inspiration: I was inspired to make an angel like this on our first day in Rome. It seems I was surrounded by fabulous angels many with lots of extra fabric and ribbons floating around with them. I love to make "fabric" out of clay- creating my own patterns and colors. I never know exactly what I will get- especially when making kaleidoscope designs like the design on the ribbon on her right.
Technique: This Angel has an armature of wire all through her especially around her wrists and through the ribbons to make them extra sturdy. The body is filled with tissue paper which helps make it look puffy and more like fabric.
